There has been a transfer of ownership at our Bellingham, WA franchise location. Since late 2013, Bellingham, WA franchisees Keahi and Eric Brown have built up a very strong business with a great reputation in the community. They have been model franchise owners, showing a first-rate commitment to customer service and team building, being fierce guardians of The Glass Guru brand.
Earlier this year, Eric and Keahi notified the franchisor that they would be selling their franchise. They had an opportunity present itself where they could move back to Hawaii to be closer to family, as well as to pursue other business opportunities. Eric and Keahi have been valued members of The Glass Guru family. It was also very clear to all members of the organization, that if the Brown’s were selling, they would only do it if there was a worthy owner waiting in the wings, willing to purchase their franchise location.
Ultimately, the Brown’s found the perfect buyer for their franchise location, selling their interest in The Glass Guru of Bellingham, WA to a great new franchise owner, Mr. Tajeshwar Randhawa. Tajeshwar (known as “TJ” to his friends) comes to The Glass Guru with a broad array of applicable professional experience. Classically trained as a mechanical engineer at the University of Washington, he has hand’s-on experience in the aviation industry, designing practical aircraft interiors in the bustling aviation industry in the Pacific NW. Throughout his career, TJ also has been exposed to, and gained practical experience in all facets of the residential construction trades.
According the TJ, he was looking for a “stable and long-term business opportunity/franchise.” The reason he wanted to start his own business was to control the delivery of an excellent customer service experience. “I am a very detail and quality oriented person, and I LOVE the felling of delivering a satisfactory service experience. Understanding customer relationships is extremely important in running a successful business. I think I can rely on my personal strengths in this area, which is why I started my own business” said Mr. Randhawa.
When prompted to share why he decided on The Glass Guru as the business opportunity he’d ultimately pursue, TJ recalls the direct experience with glass/glazing that he had in his career, along with his impressions of the business that the Brown’s had built: “While working in the construction industry, I had chances to get my hands on various glass products, and my past experience made me confident about working in the industry. The Glass Guru is established in the industry, and (the Brown’s) gave a great review about the business practices encouraged by the company.”
TJ Randhawa completed the business purchase with Keahi and Eric Brown, and then attended Initial Franchise Training. He completed his training at The Glass Guru’s USA Headquarters in Roseville, CA on December 1st, 2017. TJ shows a tremendous amount of enthusiasm and excitement about continuing to grow The Glass Guru of Bellingham, one satisfied customer at a time.
