Houston Area Franchisee Honored as Entrepreneur of the Year

The Glass Guru of Spring, TX had a significant achievement this past December. Franchise owners Manuel and Isabel Landa, with their daughters and sons-in-law present, accepted the 2018 Entrepreneur of the Year award presented by the Texas Gulf-Coast Hispanic Chamber of Commerce during the Chamber’s annual gala. It’s been 13 years since Manuel and Isabel Landa immigrated to the USA from Venezuela looking for a better future for their family. Since then, the Landa’s  raised their family and each excelled in diverse professional careers. Their desire to continuously improve upon the opportunities for their family never diminished, and three years ago the Landa’s made the decision to to take a very important step… buying  their own business. After a great deal of research, they  elected to purchase a franchise with The Glass Guru. Since opening their Spring, TX franchise location in 2015, Manuel and Isabel have been measured in how they approached their market. They’ve  kept a laser-focus on doing business inside their territory in the Northwest part of the Houston, TX market. Their 5-member franchise team has served over 650 individual customers, with the franchise’s average monthly sales-volume increasing 300% over the past two years.

“We are busy, we are happy, and we are really proud to receive this award. We thank God, our family & friends, and of course, our valued clients. The dedication of our small team of technical and office pros, including Isabel, were a crucial part of The Glass Guru of Spring being awarded this great honor. I’d also like to give a special mention to Dr. Carlos Sanchez for his leadership as President of the Chamber, as well as Celeste Amell, and the entire Amell family for encouraged us to be a part of this group. We have found in the Glass Guru franchise concept a suitable framework, with the right support to initiate and develop a successful family business within the glass and window restoration, repair and replacement industry. (With The Glass Guru) we’ve aligned ourselves with great vendors, great tools, and excellent support from The  Glass Guru Corporate office.” We consider ourselves a community business based on honesty and quality service. Even though we are faced with a fierce competition, we are committed to continue promoting the business, gain market share, and grow significantly to become a leader in our field.”
