The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) recently released the findings from their survey of home builders on the most common remodeling projects seen in the marketplace. As it turns out, home-services / remodeling companies like The Glass Guru are primed to take advantage of a new focus on smaller, purpose-driven remodeling projects being completed by homeowners. According to the article: “Small-scale renovations are slowly becoming just as popular as large-scale projects, as seen with bathroom remodeling becoming more common than kitchens,” said 2018 NAHB Remodelers Chair Joanne Theunissen, CPG, CGR, a remodeler from Mt. Pleasant, MI. “Home owners are finding cost-effective and shorter-timeframe upgrades can also add comfort and value to their homes.” In the survey, remodelers reported that of the most common projects in 2017:
- 81% did bathroom remodeling
- 78% did kitchen remodeling
- 49% did whole house remodeling
- 37% did room additions
- 30% did window/door replacements
The results of this survey look incredibly good for a company like The Glass Guru considering our primary products and services offered. With 81% of homeowners looking to complete bathroom remodeling projects, The Glass Guru’s competencies with glass shower enclosures, mirrors and mirror frames, and even glass shelving & cabinet glass come into play. Additionally, 30% of remodeling-minded homeowners said they plan to move forward with door/window replacements, which are right up The Glass Guru’s alley.
